Breakfast in Bed

Only one was not too lazy to stand while eating.

Her friends chose to eat, then snooze right on top of breakfast.

Eat, snooze, eat.  A very accommodating Bed'n Breakfast.

  1. Beautiful picture of some very happy horses. It looks like Spring is right around the corner for you.

    1. Sally, I wish Spring was closer. We had one warm day and it was just enough to get me excited, but I know better. We still have February to live through and some years it is worse than January. I am not complaining, at least we got one day.

  2. For me, having meals in bed means to be sick. No nice idea. But for these lucky horses
it is surely a pure pleasure to relax in soft hay while chewing.

    1. I rolled the window down to take the picture (my car is dirty) and I wondered if I heard her snoring?

  4. O.k. I'm in line for breakfast in bed.....except....I'd have to clean up all the crumbs I dropped and the messy kitchen....maybe not!

This has been quite a weekend, though. I have a very sick husband. He's been sick for about a week. He's slowly creeping back to life, after a week in bed. He got up for 3 hours today, then crawled back in. Probably the influenza flu. So, he's contagious. Then, a daughter got a fever on Wednesday. It's been up to 101.7 at times. I took her in today. Probably the influenza flu. Not strep, thank goodness. But, contagious. But no medicine at this time. Wait until Tuesday and see if she is better. Hmmm. Then, the nephew I'm keeping all weekend got pink eye. Very contagious. Medicine on the way for that. My niece went into Patsy's bedroom and won't come out. Smart girl. We had 2 groups of friends coming over this weekend. They declined the offer. Wonder why!

    1. Becky, BE CAREFUL WITH THE FLU! I spoke to my sister this past week in Alabama and the flu outbreak in her area has turned deadly. Don't take any chances. I hope no one else in your family catches it. Your friends were smart.

    2. You are so right! I'm not sure Rob will make it to work tomorrow. He still can barely stay up for more than a couple of hours. He thinks he is going to try---I understand, but I may have to go pick him up:)

    3. I was concerned so I checked your blog and was pleased to hear Rob made it through the day. Now if you can get everyone else well, you will be doing good.

The news reports about the flu this year have not been good. I hope you don't catch it.

    1. Sorry to say, but they are not mine. I passed by them when driving down the road and had to stop to take their picture. They paid no attention to me, never looked over. I think they were too happy and content to be bothered by a peculiar stranger.

  6. Oh! I got kicked by a loosed horse when I was young. So I never ever get closed to them unattended but I love them..

    1. You are lucky to be alive after being kicked! They are huge powerful animals and you don't realize how large they are until you stand beside them. I am amazed by them. I see them often working in the fields when I visit the Amish. It is impressive how small children give them orders and they obey immediately.
